Volvo Museum

After Volvo Museum in Arendal, Gothenburg, Sweden, closed its doors in December 2023, we are now taking over as the place where Volvo's history, innovation and community continue to live and inspire. At World of Volvo, we invite you to a new brand experience centre to discover a world where the past meets the future - right in the heart of Gothenburg.

Volvo Museum's Cars & Vehicles

During the museum's operational years (opened in 1995), it presented a fascinating chronological exhibition, allowing visitors to follow Volvo's journey from its exciting beginnings in the 1920s to the modern era. Hundreds of Volvo cars, lorries, buses, boat engines and aircraft engines were on display at the museum and parts of that collection can still be seen at World of Volvo today.

World of Volvo preserves and develops the heritage that Volvo Museum once built, but offers a completely new Volvo experience in Gothenburg. Parts of the Volvo Museum's collections can now be seen in our exhibitions, which will change over time. However, the focus of World of Volvo is not only on the collections – it’s a complete Volvo experience.
